The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie

Chocolate chip cookies are one of my guilty indulgences.  I've baked cookies so many time and I never could find the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe.  Either the batter was too cake-like or too crispy, and I searched around the internet to find something that reviewers really raved about.  This time I tried Alton Brown's recipe and it was such a hit! They were so easy to bake and the cookies turned out to be so soft  and chewy.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas filled with friends and family.  Now its time to gear up for New Year's Eve!

Dark Chocolate Bark with Pistachios, dried Cranberries and Sea Salt

Hey everyone,  just a quick post to wish everyone a healthy and happy holidays this year!

Ingredients

adapted from Whole Living Magazine

8oz of 70% dark chocolate, melted
1/4 cup shelled pistachios, chopped
1/4 tsp sea salt
dried cranberries
Directions

Coat a small pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper. Pour the melted chocolate into the pan and smooth with a spatula into an even layer. Sprinkle pistachios, sea salt and cranberries or any other optional toppings.  Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes or until completely set. Peel off parchment paper and break into pieces.  Enjoy!
