I'm in the process of turning my small guest bedroom into a home office/dressing room. Right now the walls are bright yellow but I'm seriously considering painting the walls black. What do you think?
A misconception about painting a room dark is that it will look smaller, when in fact it makes a room look bigger. Black is dramatic and oh so darling.

i say...depends on the lighting of the room. I noticed that most of these pictures are taken with natural light coming through.
I also like the matte black, instead of glossy. and instead of black, you can go deep navy or deep hunter green as an alternative.
I love black walls. I'm actually going to paint my bedroom black but I'm not sure of which shade. I would love it if you let us know which shade you pick. It will be super helpful

I LOVE black walls. One of my favorite looks and I think instantly makes a room look very modern...

Ha! This was a very eye-opening post! It's so chic and I now love black wall! I wonder how it looks at night without daylight. And I wonder now much natural light is necessary (how big is window) to have this black wall work.
I really do love the idea of having a room done in such a dark shade but I think I'd be too much of a chicken to commit to a black. Probably a deep gray. Haha. Good luck with the renovations though and be sure to put up pics!
