My First Macarons


I have always been intrigued by these beautiful little sandwich cookies.  From everything I read, I was prepared to fail, at least the first time I made them. Much to my delight, they were a success!

Here's the recipe

with raspberry jam filling

They taste "YUMILICIOUS" and I hope the next time I will make them more even. hahaha

top with toasted sesame seeds

now I'm addicted

If you can make macaroons then I suppose I can find the courage to make some. I want to make a healthier version...and you have inspired me!

Congratulations!!! I've heard many horror stories of failed attempts at macarons too, so much so it has put me off trying to make them. It's wonderful you had success your first time around. They look amazingly delicious.

Congratulations on your successful first attempt. I saw this on Foodgawker and thought "I wanna eat one!" Having failed at my first macaron baking, I'm yet to go for a second attempt. This will be one of my encouragement.
